MERRY! CHRISTMAS! hope everyone is either getting fat, getting pissed or have already done both.
Hope Santa gave you everything you wanted.
Anyway, i've just parked my car in the Garage and i bloody cracked my wing mirror on the twatting post... its only the Black eye liner that goes around the wing mirror can i get this replaced or will i have to buy a new wing mirror?
Thanks Mike.

Ouch. I'd be almost sleepless until the dealers opened!

Re: Wing Mirror
I know the bit you mean mate, I think you will have to ask the dealer on this. On a positive note, I don't think the minor mirror components are particularly expensive (by VW standards), I managed to crack the glass earlier this year and the replacement glass was £22 (or thereabouts), I got the dealer to fit it as they were doing other work anyway.

Re: Wing Mirror
Not too bothered about it, like its annoyed me but i'm not going to go on a rampant rampage of death and destruction "other than my liver" because of it, was my own stupid fault.
Well i'm glad I've seen how they go together must mean that you can get the bits for it surely. i'll call them when they open :-D

Re: Wing Mirror
Yes - annoying though it is, it would have been doubly annoying if somebody else had caused it.
Can it be glued somehow to hold it in place until such times that it can be done properly?

Part Numbers:
Left: 3C8857601A9B9
Right: 3C8857602A9B9
I bought one of these earlier in the year, I think it was about £16
Also check that the little clear plastic tell tale hasn't snapped, if it has you'll also need to replace the lower housing:

For Mirrors With Puddle Light:

These are approx £26 each
