VW will charge £300-£350 to remove it and respray.
Had this done on my Scirocco after a clown caught the rear parking next to me in an empty carpark!

Just had a similar thing. Another car grazed my rear bumper (just paint damage). Fortunately I was able to stop him as he was driving off.
VW approved shop quoted £405 to remove and paint the entire bumper but even though the other party was paying I thought this was excessive for a very small patch of damage so I had it done for £230 inc. VAT at a local place. They did not remove the bumper but did a fantastic job. They would have painted just half the bumper for £130 but said that there was a chance the join would show even if not immediately.
