My new 2.0 TSI, Rising Blue

Post by Hithere »

It was somewhat of a sad day yesterday when i traded in my Seat Leon i've had over 9yrs, but i picked up the Scirocco and hopefully it will give me years of fun driving :D

So far i'm liking it, though visibility isn't very good compared to the old Leon! Especially as i'm 6ft 4, and at that height (and with the seat fully down), i can't angle the rear view mirror to a point where i can see sky and road... all i get is road! Luckily the door mirrors are good! I can't fit in the back either, but i'll be driving, so that doesn't matter :D

I tested the 200bhp version before picking up this 210, and have to say they sound quite different. The 210 has a vaguely noticeable burble, and not the noticeable turbo spooling i could hear on the 200.

I wish they'd bothered to put a normal boot opener on the car though! Seems a silly omission.

Hopefully i can get some proper photos soon, though can't imagine it's going to be anywhere near as clean again this winter!

My Leon was a 1.6, with around 100bhp. So this is a little different :) I wouldn't call the 'rocco fast though, but it does have a decent amount of usable power.
