So im looking to get my Roc down on the ground but still has some comfort left. Mostly daydriving-car but sometimes it will be on the track too.
My first thought was going for H&R 35mm springs but then i got an good deal on D2 coilovers!
Anyone has any experience from them? It's the D2 sport modified version.
What should i go for, springs or coilovers?
Im afraid i maybe want to lower the car more then just 35mm in the future :/
Im getting the springs for 180€ and the coilovers for 600€. I know that Bilstein would be the perfect match for me but im curious about the D2!
Cheers!

Re: Lowering my R, springs or coilovers?
I can give you some feedback from other car forums eMiL; D2 comes under several names but all from the same Taiwan manufacturer, you may have heard of K-Sport or BC Racing, it's all the same product.
They are ok, more of a budget suspension option, I've read mixed reviews, some say they are great, others have had early failures of the eye ends on the dampers.
If you're putting the car on the track, do you want to go lower than 35mm? Have a read of some of the posts in this area of the forum and you probably wouldn't want to.
I have the Bilstein coilovers on mine and 40mm is the absolute max they will allow me to drop it, I know Bilstein spend many hours testing their products on the road and the track so they must have a reason for only allowing a 40mm drop. I'm not not sure D2 will do the same?

Thanks for your reply James!
After thinking a lot what to choose im going for the H&R springs. Really glad you came up with that info about the D2 coilovers!
Maybe Bilstein is something to try in the future but i'll try the springs first
Thanks again!

No problem, I've played with suspension for many years on my cars, I always seem to end up with a set of Billy's and Eibachs, it's a great combination for handling but still keeping some comfort, H&R are also a good make although possible a little firmer than Eibachs but I'm sure you'll like them.
How are the roads over in Sweden?

Oh i forgot to answer you here James!
I think the H&R springs will do they work.
The roads are pretty good here, on the summer haha. After a hard winter the potholes are really a killer. A lot of the roads around where i live has been fixed so it's like driving on clouds now haha.
Fortunately im only driving the 'R on the summer.

The MSSKit retains the 3 modes so if you decide to drive the R through the winter Comfort mode can be utilised with better handling and more comfort than OEM!

I have only personally used these we trialled 3 kits produced by MSS to find the right feel incorporating MSS 5 traits, However I have been a passanger in alowered vxr on coilovers it was an hurrendous ride for daily use!
