Help! Anyone with a VAG-COM in Manchester area?

Hi all,

So I've finally given up... after calls to VW customer care and my dealer, it now seems that turning off the DRL's via VW is a no-go.

TPI 2020356/1 (Some kind of internal message ref for VW) states that "No Manufacturer supported alterations are possible" (to the DRL's) and it came into force from 30th March 2009.

I'm so annoyed as I wanted to DRL's off, and I don't want to start a flame war with anyone asking why I want them off - It's my car, it's not the law and I should be able to set the car up how I like it to be set up.

Is there any kind soul out there with VAG-COM access that can untick the box for me? I'll happily give you some Beers for the assistance.
