Well spotted mark. According to the pre sales literature, the GTD's callipers were suppost to be painted like the GTI's - but as usual VW UK got this wrong and they were just the natural aluminium colour, and had already started to discolour from use. As my Scirocco calipers looked quite grotty after nearly 3 years, I didn't want the same happening to the GTD's, so as its an option in Germany to get them painted Red (but not in the UK), I thought why not.
So armed with some Ferrari Rosso red caliper paint, I set about them on Monday with lots of masking, and am really pleased with the end result.
