Folding mirrors
I have just discovered my roc has electric folding mirrors, just wondering, this may have been covered elsewhere but too many people go off topic haha ; my question is , is there a setting the make the mirrors fold in when you lock the car on the fob and open when you unlock it ? Because I can only seem the electrically fold them in by manually flicking the switch on the mirror control, thanks, Rob

Re: Folding mirrors
No automatic setting, they needed to be folded / unfolded manually.

Nightmare ; ok cheers anyway buddy ; not a massive problem as I didn't even know I had electric mirrors in the first place ! Won't take long to get into the habit of flicking them in every time I get out of the car anyways

Thankfully VW saw the error of their ways and have the feature on the MK7 Golf

You will also have the 'mirror down' function on the passenger side which allows you to pre-set the mirror for reversing so that you can see the rear wheel - it re-sets back to the previously set poition once reverse is disengaged) - and puddle lights too!slimfastdodger wrote: I didn't even know I had electric mirrors in the first place !

Re: Folding mirrors
ive seen the mirror adjustment in the mfd but have no idea how to set it ? but would love to work it out as i had stick on convex mirrors on my old golf so i could see the line of the car and it was a dream for parallel parking 1

Re: Folding mirrors
Really it defeats the object of having Electric folding mirrors. Even cars like ford fiestas have folding mirrors when you lock the car. So why not a roc? Stupid if you ask me.

Re: Folding mirrors
Sorry to drag this one up! Apparantly this missing feature has been included on the Golf VII..... however talking to a dealer today and going out to try this feature on a Mk.VII GTD we could not get it to work - its just the same system as in the Roc with the control of the mirror folding by the control knob on the door. Anybody with a GTD care to comment - is it something that has to be set up using the MFD computer?
UPDATE - Yes it is a feature! - but one that has to be activated in the system set up on the Mk.VII Golf (obviously the dealers car did not have the box ticked!).
