New Tires

Guys My front Tires need to changed soon and To be honest I was thinking about Pirelli or Michelin?

Any recommendation? what about sizes? Is it okay to go with 245's?

Personally, I would stick to the.OEM 235 size.

Have a look on the.Camskill website as they have a good range at readonable prices.

I'm running P Zeros at the moment and they are really good but I also rate Goodyear F1s Asymmetric 2s plus.Michelin Super Sports get a good rep.

Tyres are so personal, so it's hard to share experiences but you really can't go wrong with one of the major brands.

Thanks but I Don't think t is preference at all. I am talking about grip. wearing, wet condition! etc...

I don't sgree as people's expectations and driving style impact.all of these areas and their feedback. As an example I've just replaced the original P Zeros on the front of my 170 TDI Rocco after 37k miles, when the concensus is P Zeros are fast wesring

Another example is, I don't rate Contis wheras many people do.

The performance difference for 245 vs standard 235 will be minimal. The factory setup is not tyre (width) limited on grip.
If you've altered the suspension then the wider tyre may rub the arches.

As Cuprabos says tyres are personal so what works for you may not for others.

Personally I'm running Michelin PSS's and wouldn't change to another brand but they are not the quietest tyre available nor the best for fuel economy and do not work well in winter (snow). However other than that I've found them to be excellent for my needs.

I would definitely go with the Michelins, you will struggle to find a set of Pilot Super Sports here in Dubai and to be honest the wear in these temps would probably be too high. Ask for the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 or Pilot Sport 2, both a vast improvement on the factory Bridgestones that mine came with.

James Gimme the sizes please I Will go for PS2 Couldn't find PSS at all beacuse the load is only 87, since the engine is upfront i think 91 is the way to go

Now I have another tire on my mind continental conti sport 5p and it have amazing reviews as summer tires also the load is 91

My question is it ok to change front Tyre to different brand? and keep the rear stock?

I just went for the standard size Basho 235/35/19

You can mix and match front to rear, the weight distribution is front heavy anyway so the two ends of the car behave differently. I'd put the new tyres on the rear and fit the remaining standard ones on the front, get them worn out then fit another set of the Michelins.

I'm on 30k Kms now, still no noise from the Michelins, great tyres and very grippy.

I have the Michelin Pilot Sport and i hate them. They are extremely noisy and uncomfortable, not very good grip (dry/wet) and they are getting worse the more i use them. I previously had Dunlop SP 01, i miss those.

I need new tires for the front, and because its getting close to Xmas i only got two new ones as i want all 4 matching, i have 3 Pzeros when i got the car and 1 Goodyear F1 and I've now gone and got two more Goodyears and they are fantastic! great tires and they look that little bit more styling and they got really good reviews in EVO.

Don't think i'm going to look a the Pzeros again and as a side not the F1's seem that little bit cheaper which i think is always a +

I bought Vredestein Ultrac Vorti, and they great. Cheaper then F1 or Pzero and tyretest.com got them ranked on number 1. Value for money then
