Winter Tyres

Post by AndyInGlasgow »

Hi,

I know it's still August.....but must say I really struggled with traction on the Scirocco on snowy roads last winter, even gentle hills seems to render it pretty useless.

Has anyone fitted winter tyres, what's the thoughts, improved traction or just a waste of money and better getting the train?

Michelin PILOT ALPIN PA3 or 4 and Continental Winter Contact TS830 seem to get great reviews.

Help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

:)

They are the single best thing you can buy for winter. I will never drive another winter without them.

Seconded. Had Nokian wra3's on mine. They were awesome. Didn't have any problems in even the deepest snow we had last year.
