Anything you ex GTI owners actually miss

I think VW at the time got the MkV GTI spot on, yes it was never the ultimate in performance or hanlding but a good package, for me its really hard to gauge how good a motor is on a 30 minute test drive so curious what you guys actually miss (if anything)

I miss the metal pedals so I put some in! I also miss the cover over the cup holders in the centre console (penny pinching) might change it one day . But what I do miss and can't really understand is the 4 hooks in the boot the Roc has only got 2 - What use are they? Everything else is a step up .. Quality ,handling , engine improvements,looks,noise the list goes on Oh and it's a bit tight when you pay all that dosh for leather they dont put pockets on the rear of the seats!
All in all minor points against genuine improvements to what was a fab car.

so does the roc have a better sound than the GTI then? I was surprised how good the roc sounds

gas strut on the GTI bonnet was a nice touch, but no biggie

The only thing I miss is the grab handles in the back which I used to use to hang my clothes up. There is a coat hook behind the passenger seat in the Scirocco but it's pretty small. Apart from that minor thing, there is nothing at all I miss.
