As soon as I saw your thread title I knew you would be Australian. I'm from Newy but live in London now.

I often think that the conditions in Australia have evolved a unique sub set of car accessories not seen elsewhere in the World. They are the marsupials of accessories.

Dash Mats
Rear louvers
Venetian blinds inside the back window
Pensioner peaks
Weather shields
Windshield covers
Tinted windows (on all the windows except the windscreen)

Most of these are to deal with heat or sun. Australian sun can be brutal and Australians tend to keep their cars for a long time. My mum drives a V6 Mazda 626 from 1996 and she still thinks it's a good car.

Barmats work OK if you can’t find a dash-mat. The dash is the same a WV EOS so maybe search for one for that as well.

what about those silver foil covers you put inside the windscreen? Seen those a lot of those in europe.

dash boards are tricky because of the reflection issue. I have seen a Saudi taxi driver using a bath mat because it does not reflect.

do you guys have a better solutions for hot seats? can't fine anything smart other than those ugly brown/ beige wooden bead type covers.
