RNS 315 Display

Does anyone know if you can turn off the display (i.e. show the clock only as if it was switched off) when in use an driving? I find the screen quite distracting at times.

Good question... the 510 has a 'display off' function in 'Set up' I recall but would have to have a play with that and see how much it turns off when the unit is in various modes. Suspect the 315 is similar.

Thanks Mark, I have navigated the setup menus but can't find anything related other than screen brightness.,....

Hmm, - in that case we need someone else with a 315 to come along and see what they have discovered. These sat nav units do require a lot of familiarisation - still finding new pop ups on mine and had it since January!

I agree...it's really quite bright at night isn't it? I tend to switch mine to traffic updates where there is less bright content coming on the screen.
