Dunno if there has been a wave of 09 plate buyers but I must of seen over 10 roc's on the road this week, So much for exclusivity......lol
Good whilst it lasted.
It gets voted Top Gear car of the year. It beats a mini by 0.00054 seconds on fifth gear. Most reviews love it. Nearly everyone on hear loves it. Some members bathe in a glow of happiness when almost without exception people love the car.
Then you see over 10 rocs in a week and the penny drops. The car might be popular. Watch out chaps, sherlock is in the house
Err, I think you misinterpreted me, was said tongue in cheek hence the LOL at the end.
And so much for exclusivity - yeah right. C'mon its a VW - argueably one of the worlds most successful mass producers of cars. It is genuinely affordable & can be bought all over the land.
Taken delivery : Silver, DSG, NAV, Black Leather, Park Sensors, Winter pack.

Err no I am not a banker!!sir_rocco wrote:Is that cos Londons full of redundant city w*nkers (err I mean bankers) who are not getting bonuses thus cannot afford one ....lolLCM wrote:M23 - M25 on Tuesday I saw not one, not two, but three car transporters fully laden with Rocs. Given the amount of them all together I would say the exclusivity days are getting numbered and rising blue is going to be a seriously common colour.
Possibly they are all heading to Oxford though ( ) as I still haven't seen any on the road around North London
PS, are you a banker ?
I noticed from one of your previous posts Sir_rocco that you work "in the field" - does that mean you stick your finger up sheep bottoms for a living!!
250 miles over the weekend and only spotted one!! I think we should all calm down though as they are hardly in every traffic queue or car park quite yet. Personally think that they will be more popular over the coming months but I am looking forward to seeing more on the road as it's a f@cking good looking car and nice to look at.
Can't say I haven't enjoyed being in the exclusive club whilst it lasted but I think there is a few more miles to be done before the Roc becomes common place. I have been asked four times in three days what it was, how it went etc etc etc
End of the day it is just a car (albeit a stunning one) so enjoy driving it and the fun that it gives both you and those who still love to stare at it!!
My Roc was fast - but now its FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roc On!!

Takes me back to when I got one of the first MK 1 TT's - we used to get so excited at seeing another TT that we'd flash each other.
Can honestly say I've not yet had the occasion to flash a fellow scirocco driver yet - I'm sure that day will come soon enough.
