Re: 2013 Scirocco R from Belgium
Fitted my new wheels today, but as expected they are rubbing the suspension in the front. Ordered 19x9.5 ET 33, but they where only available in ET 45. So definitely need some spacers at the front and maybe also at the back to match this. Also need other (black) bolts because the adapter of the original anti-theft bolt doesn't fit the VMR Wheels.
Could someone advise me in what spacers to get? Thinking about 12mm in the front, which will result in ET 33... I know Kev (Rev 555) is running ET 32 so this would be fine. Putting a 10mm spacer at the back would result in ET 35 but then I need some negative camber after the coilovers are fitted...
Didn't drop the car because I could not fit the original anti-theft bolt Also removed the little lip at the back, what is it doing out there?

The car is now wrapped in Hexis Frozen Grey, windows are tinted, black logo's are on and de-wipered the back.
H&R spacers are ordered to fit the wheels, so hopefully they are on next week.

If it's okey to ask, how much did you pay for getting the whole car wrapped?

This is what the Million car should look like. I like the no rear wiper as mine had the cap ripped off at the carwash.
What is the rear lip you removed?
Amazing looks!

Thanks Macman, very happy with the result! The wrap is not yet 100% OK, at the spoiler it's getting off a little bit so the car is going back in on tuesday to clear some things out...Macman wrote:This is what the Million car should look like. The cars here come with a little plastic lip on the rear fenders, i think it's supposed to be a little mudflap. Didn't like it so i removed it.

At least in some parts of Europe (e.g. in Finland) that little plastic lip makes the car road legal with factory fitted 18" or 19" wheels. It ensures that the tread of the tyre stays "inside" the body or something like that.Timo wrote:The cars here come with a little plastic lip on the rear fenders, i think it's supposed to be a little mudflap. Fitted the new wheels with 12mm H&R spacers in front and 10mm in the back. Also found some black bolts to match the rims.
Next step is lowering with KW coilovers. Not planning to go very low because it's my daily car...

KW Coilovers Variant 1 went on friday, managed to put 5 mm spacers in front, so running ET 40, no spacers at the back. Very happy with the result.
Enjoy the pictures (waiting for some better weather )

Have felt any difference compared to stock talladegas? Have you faced any issues while balancing or any other issues?Timo wrote:Thanks guys!
