Galaxy s3 media cable connect to rcd 510

Hi I am having difficulty connecting my Samsung galaxy s3 to rcd 510 via media cable. Says on dash. device without function. Can anyone help. Cheers

On your galaxy s 3, set it to connect as usb storage.

Go to system settings then search for usb utilities. At least on my galaxy s 2 it's like that.

That option aint there. Galaxy s3 uses mtp protocol not usb mass storage.

Unfortunately I have had the same problem, I have tried to get the S3 to connect via the Media-In cable but get the same 'Device without function' message. The only way I managed to connect it was via the AUX input which isn't a digital signal and also doesn't allow the names of tracks to appear. However my main way around it is keeping my old iPhone in my car and running music through it via Spotify.

I use Rocket Player on my Galaxy s2 and playback music via bluetooth works great with good sound quality
