NEWBIE NEEDS HELP WITH A FEW QUESTIONS

Hi Guys, got my first Roc yesterday and just getting to know everything, got a couple of easy questions I'm sure someone will no the answer to:

It is an 09 2.0GT

1) Is there supposed to be only one rear foglight on the driver side? Is it possible to change the bulb on the other side and have them both working?

2) When I turn my ignition on the headlights are always on even if I turn the switch to the '0' position. I can only get them to go off if I turn the switch to the sidelight position and then just the little running lights are on. Is this normal as seems a bit weird.

3) How do I know what version sat nav I have and whether the software is the latest version. Came home in new car yesterday and it seemed to miss a new bypass that has been open for about 2 years so suspect it needs updating.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

1 . Yes there is suppose to be just one rear fog light.

2. Yes that is normal. It's so the car has day time running lights. If you don't want them on all the time you have two options. Either turn the switch to sidelights only. Or use vcds to change the settings so the switch acts like a normal switch.

3. I think if you hold down the setup button it will come up with hidden menu and it will tell you what Sat nav software is installed. It does on my rns 315 anyway.

Thanks Whitedevil. Also when my headlights are on should there not be a little green headlight on the instrument panel telling me they are on? If so I must have a bulb out.

Mine doesn't come up with any green light when headlights are on and mine is a 2012 car

Red MFD; VCDS and untick Byte 3, Bit 1 in the Central Electrics - 09 Controller. Labellled Rear Fog Lights. 0 - 2 Rear Fog Lights, 1 - 1 Right Rear Fog Light. The left bulb should already be fitted.
