Wipers
Hi new to the forum, just wondering about the wipers is it normal for the rear wipers,to start cleaning the rear window when the car is started? And also for some reason the front windscreen washers aren't working

Does it come on straight away or when you put it into reverse to come out your drive? Front washers may have frozen up if you havent been using screenwash or if you have been trying to ake the washers work while frozen you could have burnt the washer pump out.
Re: Wipers

will start with some possibly more obvious ones in addition to those starshaped has mentioned;
- have you checked the wiper stalk is central & not in the 'rear window wipe' position? (can't recall at this moment whether its push or pull) it is easy for it to be out of position & not be obvious
- is there washer fluid in the reservoir?

His rear wiper switch must be on so its on at startup whilst his front are actually off. I think its off when pulled.

Re: Wipers
Stalk is at the off position, the rear wiper always sprays at the start, sprays too screen wash as my rear of the car is stripping off it, took it to VW today had a look at the fuses everything was fine had to book it in for further investigation said the pump could be worn out

Re: Wipers
Is it illegal to drive to work in reverse if your front wipers give in? hehe
