Auto lights

Post by rm0rgan »

They come on when you open the car at night but why don't they stay on for a set time when its dark and you switch the ignition off....stupid having to pull the lever as it looks like you're dogging if parking in a car park and flashing people

You can set how long they stay on in the MFD but they only come on after you have activated them by flashing your lights first....they then come on when you open the door. :grumpy:

This is the so called 'coming home/leaving' function - which on factory standard Sciroccos only allows the timing of the 'leaving home' function to be adjusted. The 'coming home' function can, as reported above' be activated with VCDS - on the previous Golf it was but I think a lot of people (including me) found the shouts of 'you have left your lights on mate' in supermarket car-parks rather annoying! I certainly dont miss it and have not bothered to activate but if you live in a poorly lit area I can see the merit of it.
