Ipod distorting

hi was just wondered if anybody else has the problem of there ipod/iphone distorting when louder. my radio plays fine when loud its just my i pod was wondering if it could be the lead any help would be much appreciated.

If you do a search on here there are a few topics discussing it. All fixable by adjusting the settings on the iPod. If the iPod levels are too high it can lead to distortion.

Yes indeed - I had a similar issue, worth also checking this one out http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... -distorted" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I had a situation where the iPod sounded fine initially, but then the sound distorted once it had been on for a while which is strange.

Also it's worth checking the settings on the head unit to see what the iPod output is set at . Either quiet , normal or loud. If its loud that will cause distortion very quickly. I have mine on quiet and had no problems.

Head unit setting is the issue....
