AUTO LIGHTS
Hi all, when i put the light switch to the "0" position the headlights and tail lights stay on.... the only thing that seems to go off, is the instrument cluster and dashboard illumination. Have given it plenty of time ,incase it is the coming / leaving home function. The lights go off when the key is removed in all the switch positions, also not sure if the auto lights are actually, working as they always seem to be on!! maybe that is due to the time of year as we have not had much sun or brightness in the last 3 weeks of owning the car........ any ideas anyone?

Re: AUTO LIGHTS
I think this is the standard setting - you need VCDS to change the setting so that the "0" is everything off. Haven't tried it myself with VCDS, but I'm sure others have.

Re: AUTO LIGHTS
If you have halogen headlights the headlights are on all the time as DRLs. It can be changed using VCDS.
Basically, the "0" and "Auto" setting don't do anything

My Scirocco did the same thing, took it to a VW Specialist and they changed the settings for DRL on the computer and now I have normal light function

Re: AUTO LIGHTS
If you have halogen lights you don't need vcds. If you have xenon's then you are gonna need vcds

Re: AUTO LIGHTS
OK if you have halogen light do this steps. By the way it worked on MY 2009 ROC so i don't know if it will work on newer rocs. Anyway.
1. set your lights on "0"
2. Put your key in the ignition but don't do anything else just leave it there
3. Turn your indicator light down and turn the high beam light by holding it towards you.
4. Turn the key one step before you start the engine and you should here a sound and that means you have turn off the DRL lights
By the way after you do this when you set the light switch to auto the lights will turn on when its dark
Hope you understand the steps as my English is not the best

Re: AUTO LIGHTS
think this only works with the 09 models. doesn't work with my '10. i've followed a few youtube videos that use the stalk method as well with no luck. i think the VAGCOM is the only solution with '10+ cars.davidscirocco wrote:OK if you have halogen light do this steps.
