Cheers for that. Looks interesting, especially the Dynaudio with sub !

Sorry, a little bit off topic, but whilst browsing that site, I also found this (for all us devils juice versions)

VW recalls 2.0 TDI
Wolfsburg (AP) - Tens of thousands of motorists a VW Diesels need for a recall to the workshops. In Germany alone, 105,000 cars of the Eos, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Scirocco, Tiguan and T5 are affected. This was announced by Volkswagen. If they were 2.0-liter diesel engines from the years 2009 to 2012. Worldwide is the recall of 300 000 cars. Background for the need of repair, the injection lines. To them under certain circumstances may cause fuel to spill. The recall is a precautionary measure. VW intends to write to all affected customers.

Anyone heard about this in the UK yet ?

@i-roc, Thanks for that, jubiGTI has been a good source in the past. Presumably that's the list for the German market and not what VW(UK) will import as we don't yet have all the options from previous updates like KESSY. The odd thing is no bodywork panel changes???

What ever you can find out :)
But I do find that list strange as said, no body panels. The list is more like a routine six monthly minor update, not the facelift.

Doesn't surprise me as VW (UK) will market which options they choose. Took ages to get the RVC until recently as a selectable option.

I see one or two of those listed not making the UK.

The RNS510 in Sciroccos is getting a bit dated compared to some of the newer offerings.

I'd like to see an update to Golf Mk VII electrics similar to when the Scirocco was updated from Golf MKV to MkVI electrical platform and we got a white MFD.

The technology and Nav in a new Golf puts what we currently have in Scirocco's to shame.

PreCrash system
Multi-Collision brake system
Adaptive cruise control
City Emergency Braking
Gesture controlled eight-inch colour display

I really like my RNS, I'd just like it to have have album art like it seems nearly all other manufacturers have. Can't see it being a major cost as the RNS can already display .jpg photos, so maybe just a bit of software re-coding for the MDI unit ?

Also would be nice to have a search facility to search for a track, album, artist etc, as when you have a lot of music on your ipod, trying to find the artist you want can take quite a bit of time.

Adaptive Cruise would also be nice as well as proper LED DRLs for the front (and not just for Xenon equipped models).

Yes, that can be a major pain if your looking for a specific song.

Maybe VW have pushed the replacement back into H2 2014 or later... wk45 '13 changes including new engines, headlights and front parking sensors hints the current model may be around for bit and from reading the original German "Interior with adaptation to MQB platform".
Front sensors will have required new bumper moulds (to mark out the locations).

Hello :)

I'm going to be ordering my first Scirocco at the end of the month. Seems like it'll be delivered just before the week 45 (end of October estimate) :(

Do we know if there's been any further confirmation of what will/won't be happening in bw45?

Any thoughts on what they will do with the R?
if they are giving the Golf 300 then surely the Roc will have to be matched to the same H.P

Golf R is the flagship model so even if the next generation Scirocco R happens, it will have slightly less power due to this and being 2wd in the same way the current Scirocco R and Golf MK6 R cabriolet, both FWD, have slightly power than the MK6 R.

main issue is a bit of bottox in the engine compartment isn't going to cut the mustard, the chassis under pinning the mk7 Golf is a different level to the older platform

in reality i just see maybe the r-line body kit rolled out and xenons becoming standard, when the Storm is released you know the mk4 maybe on its way

Swapping over to the new engine would mean redesigning the R engine bay and various panels / attachments so I doubt that will happen. EA888 gen has a different mounting angle to gen2 units so would alter to CoG over the front axle plus engine/bonnet clearances will need rechecking for pedestrian impact.

I'd guess a little price cut or standard spec increase is all that the future holds for the R until the new 'rocco is released.
