It was actually Ted who reached the top shelf ... I could provide the photographic evidence but would then be banned from this forum

New pads fitted for the APs - no more squeal for time being. Old pads looked rather abused mind :D

Remaining 2 Vibra Technics engine mounts fitted....hmmm. NVH has definitely increased so gonna have to get used to that.

Unfortunately the old Milltek tips wouldn't come off the rear exhaust section - proper baked / fused on it seems. So the pitted tips are going to have to stay on the car till a solution is found.

One of the joins on the Milltek is also blowing a little so some exhaust sealant was applied.

Car is a bit poorly. Misfire at idle on cylinder 1. :(

Spark plugs and coil packs swapped, tested and ruled out. New Injector ordered to be fitted in New Year.

And also found this while doing a cam follower inspection

A cam follower inspection? What seems to be the issue with these cam followers, I keep hearing them mentioned but never read of any failures?

Did you try switching the injector to see if it moved the fault?
RS5, Scirocco R. You can never have enough R's

Cam Followers on the old TFSI engines can fail. As the car was being looked at I decided to have it checked as a precaution. It looked fine though after 33k miles so it went back in!

Injector swap requires intake manifold to come off and that requires a bit of labour. Ruled out plugs/coil packs so flakey injector is most likely to be causing the problem. So will get it swapped out in new year.

Looks quite good that with gold wheels. Lose the bonnet scoop though and add bigger roof spoiler! :D
