Edition 35 Detail

Post by wigit »

well after its Inters livery and two days at the Goodwood FOS the Ed35 was long overdue a detail given the majority of the mechanical mods are now complete

car was shipped up the Nath and Gaz at detailmyride.co.uk for some much needed protection and removal of a parking door ding

Car looked on arrival at DMR HQ:

First up, wash and decontamination! Wheels cleaned with AS Smart Wheels, and various brushes inc. wheel woolies, Arches/Tyres with AS G101.

Car was then given a pre-wash, badges/rubbers etc agitated with G101:

Following a 2BM wash with Auto Finesse Lather and Lambswool Mitts, decontamination with Iron X and Tardis revealed little in the way of any contamination!

Once pulled inside and dried off with microfibre towels, the only areas requiring any real correction were the black gloss trim and rear lights, which were tidied up with Meguiars D300 Correction Compound and Pads, before later being refined (pics pre-refinement)

Exhausts also cleaned up:

Paintwork was then cleansed with Lime Prime via DA, before applying Auto Finesse Tough Coat as the LSP to paintwork and wheels. Finishing touches including glass, tyres etc were completed and the interior detailed.

Please note in some of the pics tyres had second coat of Swissvax Pneu to the tyres, and had not been buffed so some excess is visible!

Gotta say WOW about that exhaust
Wheels look good. No scuffs. Is that how you presented it or were they repaired?
