Now fitted, £240 all in. Works a treat. I had a 1.6TDI 61 plate Golf Match as a loan car, and that had cruise as standard, yet a GT Scirocco its optional - abit backwards?

While it is standard on the match Golf the match costs nearly 3k more than the normal golf so it's all added to the cost.
Interestingly the new Scirocco Accessories Catalogue (March 2012) no longer contains the Cruise Control kit.

I own MY2010 rocco with 5K0-953-569-A module (Highline without CC option). Do I need anything else beside 5K0-953-569-H and Stalk. I've read somewhere that I may need to pull some wires trough from SWCM to ECU... but what wires.. what PN. Help
Hi all!
I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
Im the owner of a Scirocco 1.4 TSI 122BHP from 2011.
I don't have CC as a fabric option, so now I want to retrofit it by myself.
I've read through this entire topic but didn't found anything about the 2011 cars. So I was wondering 2 things:
1) Do I need the parts listed somewhere above in this topic
(5K0 953 569H for the SW Module and 5K0 953 502 B 9B9 for the leveller)
2) I'm form Belrium so my car is a left hand drive. Are this the same parts as the UK Right hand driven cars?
Matt - you will be able to have it installed - you just need to find out if its the early (cheap) install or the later more expensive (more complex installation) type is needed for your car - may be lucky with it being a 59 plate (if it was built prior to build week 45). The latter are oft avoided by dealers but some after-market companies such as vwcruise do fit oem cruise control and it costs around £300 to £360.
This is the easy way to know if its the cheap Cruise fitting (left) or the more difficult and expensive Cruise fitting (right). Just look at the Climate controls in the centre dash area.

thanks for the repies. my set up looks more like the left pic but mine is different again. will I also be able to put the climate controls from the right pic?
Your Scirocco must be one with Climatic Aircon, in which the equivalent photos for pre Wk45/09 - Wk45/09 onwards are:

(Off topic: Changing Climatic Aircon Control Panel to the post Wk45/2009 has already been looked at...... Link, look at the last post + Link to another attempt.
But if you do decide to tackle it with modifying to cross upgrade fit, bear in mind this wire change Link - Wire)

I am due to get my Roc on Saturday and have been reading through the posts on here as I wanted Cruise Control fitted by the dealer. They advised me that it wasn't available, although I also looked at another 2010 Roc with another dealer who said they could fit it for £250.
Not wanting to argue with either I contacted VW UK today to see what they said. They advised that it wasn't available as aftermarket yet, although it was currently being tested by VW. In view of this have there been any problems with any retrofit cruise control on the 2010 models and does anyone know if anywhere in Norfolk or Suffolk can fit it as it looks like some of you have managed to get official VW retrofit?
If the 'other' dealer said they could fit it for £250 how would you have an argument with them. Surely your best option would be to just get the car and then book it in to that dealer and get it fitted. £250 is a lot less than non VW specialsts charge, Who are they as I would like to get it done to my 2012 car? Thanks for the heads up :-)
It was Peter Cooper in Southampton so not really an option for us as it would be a 420 mile round trip! We only went there as we had 2 cars to look at - one in West London and one in Southampton. I wouldn't want to get it fitted in Southampton in case there were any problems, especially as VW UK have said they are still testing it - slightly confusing as it looks like some were being released by VW earlier on in this thread so I was wondering if there had been problems!
OK understood! VW UK have been spinning the 'testing' story out for a long time now - and the whole time the independents continue to fit cruise control - sometimes even for VW dealers!
