Which FISCON should I be ordering? Red or White FIS?

Post by jc74 »

I have a Scirocco on order and would like a bluetooth adaptor fitted when it's delivered. I want one which will work with most phones (ie not the cr*p VW one).
Anyway, I've just been looking on the Fiscon website, but there seems to be two variations:-

http://www.fiscon-mobile.de/shop/produc ... play-.html
Volkswagen Scirocco (with white FIS-Display)

http://www.fiscon-mobile.de/shop/produc ... play-.html
Volkswagen Touran (with red FIS-Display)

I assume I should be ordering the 2nd one??
Is the first one for the new Scirocco which is on the way?

It will depend on your build week and also if all the rumours are true, that they will be changing the FIS to the same as the Passat cc.

Why not just wait until you have your Scirocco delivered? As far as I'm aware, the delivery time for the FISCON kit is only a few days max. Will save you ordering the wrong one.

Not sure what it stands for (something Information System, I believe), but it is the display in the instrument cluster, the one which shows your trip computer, menu options, low fuel warnings, doors open etc.

Good idea! - Better living without Bluetooth for a while than having the wrong one!
Still a little bit nervous fitting it myself, so may just see how I fare with my standard bluetooth earpiece for a while...

I spoke to my dealer and they are happy to fit the FISCON unit so you dont have to.

Interesting - Do you have to buy it and give it to them to fit (and how much will they charge?)
Or are they actually sourcing it for you as well?

I told them I would buy it in and supply it, they didnt give me a quote but according to FISCON its very easy to do its just the removal of the A-frame cover that I didnt want to go near as there is the air bag behind it and you have to be very careful round it.

Fiscon told me costs are 399€ for the handsfree and 11,95€ for shipment.

If you choose it, please let us know how you get on, in particular how much it ends up costing to fit, and whether they do a good job!
