Renewed my extended warranty and break down cover for another year. £232 up from last years £219.
Service, mot, a/c service and road tax to do this month too. An expensive Rocco month!

Picked up my new (well 2009) dark grey 170 tdi from the dealer today!!!
H&R springs are sitting here ready to be fitted, now all I have to do is pick out a set of 19" wheels.... which is much harder than I expected it to be....

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Washed, quick wax (well 4hrs all in)..lol
Changed pollen filter.
Tried to track down 2-3 creaky bits of trim...
1. Between the dash and centre vents
2. Drivers side seatbelt pillar
3. Passenger side at rear roof lining
Now just need to figure out how to get bits off.. Ah the joy of the learning curve on a new car. This kinda stuff was no problem with the Cupra. Research begins.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Washed the Scirocco to rid the paint surface of grit before the snow arrives so that the sliding snow off the bodywork doesn't act like sandpaper on all my polishing work.
Measured the tyre tread depths. Pleased to see the revised spark plugs gap to 0.70mm has arrested the tyre wear on the front axle by 50%. And wear is even across the tread face while running on 30psi instead of 33psi tank flap setting. While the mpg average has risen from 35mpg to 38 mpg.
And the correct characteristic of FWD wear has returned with the lead wearing tyre being the right side due to the longer driveshaft. Previously to the plug gap change the front left was being ragged to bits fairly rapidly. Now expecting 23,000 - 24,000 miles from the tyres before all 4 are changed.

Applied black tyre paint!
Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Went to the deserted local pub car park and had a play in the about 6" of untouched snow. I can confirm winter tyres are amazing and handbrake turns are a lot of fun!
