Vw/Audi prep..

Post by ROO »

Done 50 miles since collecting my Scirocco from the Audi dealership...and the low oil light comes on. Popped the bonnet and both the oil and expansion bottle are on min levels. Surely their prep and 148 point checks should have identified and dealt with these? And the handbrake button has has stuck in very time I have used it?

Take it back mate and complain. It has obviously not been checked properly, that is very shoddy if it is running low on oil having just been released to you.

Not good. Create a fuss. If they've missed those items then what else has not been checked.
My father-in-law took delivery of a Nissan once which allegedly had received a thorough pre-delivery inspection ...... without the aid of a bonnet support strut  A one handed check maybe.

If it was me I would make them swap the car, but there again I'm a b*****d when it comes to stealers, they've been paid to do a job no excuses and haven't done it, I would want as a minimum a free service.
Years ago I got a 3 year warranty on a new car that hadn't been pdi correctly, when the norm was 1 year warranty.

I would go mental at them, I would want minimum of 3yrs warranty, there may be damage caused by this, + is the car safe ?(there shouldn't be any issues but make it out worse than it is), free servicing aswell, what have you got to loose, or tell them you'll have your money back, they won't want this ?

I would tell them you don't want the car back until a full pdi check has been performed, i would do this when you drop the car off.

Good luck !
