MFD on GT Models

Post by ST270 »

Hi, I am due to pick up my Scirocco tomorrow and I have a query re the computer - on my test drive I was looking through the handbook and trying to work out how to display the current MPG the car was getting - to no avial. All that was displayed after going through the menus was the distance left to empty.

The car is an 09 with the multifunction wheel and dsg (it does not have the rocker switch on the wiper arm) Does anyone know if the car will actually have this function?

Cheers for your help

On the Right of the steering wheel there should be some directional arrows with a menu button in the middle. I usually press the menu button in the middle and when it switches to the trip computer, press the directional buttons up or down to scroll through the various screens (current MPG/Average MPG for the journey/Range fuel/average speed/Oil Temp). If these do not show up then they might be disabled in the MFD menu. Press the menu button and actively scroll through the menus until u see a list of those mentioned above. They should be all ticked (not not depending on what u wanna see).

My trip is only showing mpg "2" and the lifetime of the car. How do I change to "1"?

When you use that right hand steering wheel control described above, there is a centre switch part that changes the memory selection from 1 --> 2 --> 1 and so on when the MFD display is on the memory reading you want to flip to the alternative memory.
