If you think the current setup is bumpy then I wouldn't go for coilovers. The way I would describe them is you have comfort normal and sport in OEM set up, if you added another setting for super sport or something it would be around there. The ride was very firm when I first got them on and it seems to have softened up a little or I'm just used to it. I use the car every day and I don't think it's uncomfortable but others might disagree. Maybe you should just look at springs to get it a little lower and keep the comfort? Hope that helps!SciroccoRline wrote:Nice wheels! What's the ride like with KW coilovers? I find the OEM setup rather bumpy, and i'm thinking of getting my car lowered.

Decided when I woke up today I'd get the badges off and get them to the paint shop to be done gloss black. Hopefully will get them back and on by Friday or Saturday before I go on holiday

It's very jumpy at ALL set ups with my OEM spings! I'm thinking of getting her lowered, those nasty rocco arches are also super annoying!

May be worth taking it back to vw or drive another roc to see if you think it feels the same. Might be something wrong with the suspension or current set up. But, it deffinately needs to be lower

Right, this is the plan if they are released in 19s, excuse the crap photoshop skills! They havnt made any yet so its just a rendering. Watercooled ind cc10 cast wheels. Only making them in 18s at the moment. Will be available in 8.5j et 45 or 9.5j et35, hopefully the same when they make the 19. Concave wheels that dip in 4.5 inches. Not sure what colour to go yet. Probably white or anthricite. Thoughts and opinions?

Got my mate to take a few pics of the car the other day, Black badges have been done now, next mod will probably be a slated grill to replace the honeycombe one then either keep the rotis and do them white or sell and buy some cc10s in white if they get released in 19s.
more pics to follow...
My favourite with a photoshopped front plate. ;D

Re: Candy White KW V1s and a few other bits.....
Just a little update to keep the thread alive...
Got a better audio install in. Nothing over the top just a lot better quality. Went with a shallow sub to still keep boot space.
Also put these pressed plates on I got a few year a go. Just wish I had went for plain black instead of carbon! They will do for now though.
Rotis were sold and now looking for some new wheels. Looks at some porsche twist splits but cant decide if 18s will be too small to pull off without air??

When I measured last it was about 70-80mm, 5mm left in the rear and 15 left in front. Will drop the front down 10mm when the new wheels go on.

Re: Candy White KW V1s and a few other bits.....
Cheers, any chance there's a build thread for it you can pm me?
Yeah I only have the one car. Sometimes it looks low others it doesn't, I think with the front bumper curling up it helps for speedbumps, from what I seen the R front doesn't curl up. Hope I'm making sense here ha I generally don't have any problems and only scrape on huge bumps. You just have to take your time, go slow and piss everyone off behind you wondering why your taking bumps at 5-10mph instead of 30 haha

Re: Candy White KW V1s and a few other bits.....
Been busy this morning messing about with the lobster claws.
Front set up...
Rear set up...
About a fingers space away from the coilover. Still 10-15mm left as well. will lower it when i put the porkas on.
And finally one last one of the boot

Will be running 225 or 235 on the rear with camber. Front sits flush or a few mm out.

Re: Candy White KW V1s and a few other bits.....
I didn't think an 11 would fit on the back! Did they have to do any arch work to get them to fit? Looks really nice! Can't wait to get mine on next year
