Hey all, Im an American living in Germany and I bought my Scirocco (1.4 TSI / 160P.S.) two years ago. I'm currently working in Saudi Arabia until next year while my baby girl is back home with a trusted friend taking care of her. She was slightly used when I got her (21K km) but she had already been lowered by 3cm & had custom wheel added. I have big plans for her when I get home though which include a larger turbo, chip, exhaust, body kit, & better wheels. I'm really looking forward to getting this all started when I return in the summer of next year but until then, here are a few photos of her
My girl the day I bought her...she still had the dealer plates on here
Probably not the typical photo posting here as she's REALLY dirty in this one! This was during a 2,700 km trip I made from Trier, Germany up to Bodo, Norway last year. The photo was actually taken somewhere in the Swedish 'wilderness' enroute and man was that one heck of a trip! Three days and 1,700 km of snow and ice (once I entered Sweden), moose & reindeer, blizzards, & mountains...it was like one VERY LONG slow-speed rally race, slipping & slidding the whole way...haha! At times I thought i wasn't going to make it but I did!
This one is at the beach in Sandvoort, Holland in May

Something I have been seriously considering as a mod to my Rocco is shaving the door handles. I have yet to see a Rocco with that done to it. Has anyone else seen that done by chance? I took the liberty of taking a photo off the net & modding it via MS Paint to give you all an idea of what I mean:

Removing the handles would be a nice touch! So what did you do in Bodø? Used to live there a while back!

I thought it looked pretty sweet like that too! I was working for the RNoAF as an F-16 Tecnician on the airbase there for three & a half years...now I work for the RSAF (Royal Saudi Air Force) on the GE engines for their F-15's here in Saudi Arabia. Except for the money, I would MUCH rather be working for the Norwegians again! One thing I can say the Saudis though it that they're paying for all the future upgrades for my Emma!

Haha funny! I was a weapon system assitent on f-16 in 2008! Fun year for sure!

Hey that's cool! I started in August 2008 working Hangar 7 and then later in Hangar A once they finished laying down the new floor. Anyway, here's a photo of me (left) & my buddy Janink sitting on top of a mountain with Bodo in the background. It's a small world man!

That's pretty cool man and I see you drive a Scirocco just like mine, same color & all...sweet! The only Scirocco I ever saw in Norway was up by Vestvatn when I went snowboarding up there. There was a dark gray one in one of the small villages along the way
Just out of curiousity man, what did your Scirocco set you back in NOK? I know how rediculously expensive cars are there so was just wondering

Hehe yeah there aren´t many siroccos up here! In my area, I live in Lofoten now there are 3, I believe there lives about 20 000 people here. So it´s kind of funny having one. Get lots of attention! I bought mine second hand this spring. It´s a 2009 that had run 41000km. Payed 265 000 for it. I believe if I would have bought a new one at the same time it would have cost about 100 000 more So yes! Definitely expensive!!!!
