Kermit/Woody the 1.4 160ps

Post by MCBailey »

Hey everybody!

Got this about 2 weeks ago now but have done some posts but only just got around to doing a thread for this, been too busy enjoying him!
Took me a long time but this is my first car really I owned a mk1 scirocco but sold that on after not much driving as it was a project, otherwise only really driven a lupo. Must say this has a bit more oomph!

Came with a the aftermarket kenwood stereo they offer to fit and it's absolutely AMAZING!
The built-in garmin sat nav is tops and the functions offered on the screen are fantastic and response.
Overall absolutely LOVING it!

Plans are to tint the DRL lenses all orange.
Maybe lower and put on some different wheels but still unsure as I want my ACC still and coilovers working with them are expensive.

Picture of my mk1 for the road:

Thanks all, look forward to getting to know you all better,
Mark

Hey Gary, I did yes.

Mostly problem free, excluding when I arrived to pick the car up and finding the car had a stone chip. VW Newbury sorted it all out with a complete brand new windscreen however so can't especially complain.

Is the rear mud flaps standard? I got some small ones a bit up in the wheel arch.

Hopefully you didn't have to speak to the useless sales advisor that I did then, truly truly terrible car knowledge. They're lucky I simply liked the car as they were ABSOLUTELY clueless about their own vehicles and any of the technical information (e.g. about the various stereo models). Appaling is the word that springs to mind.

Yeah they're super in the sun, definately a unique shine and colour always gets me noticed, don't get one if you're shy!

I'm more than satisfied with the stereo! Absolutely FANTASTIC stereo does everything I'd hope for and more!
