Hey guys,
I've just my car remapped ( 340/ 450 ) and I'm looking for a new clutch as the old one slips from time to time:-) Now the car is 51kkm and it's standard.
Do you have any ideas which one to choose? OEM or better one? I found that Sachs has a basic clutch for the R and it's the same as standard one.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Micheal.

Re: Clutch for Scirocco R manual
The Sachs clutch seems to be option of choice for the 2.0TFSI, Southbend also offer a uprated clutch that is supposed to feel pretty much identical to O.E.
It might also be worth budgeting for a new flywheel while the box is off.

Re: Clutch for Scirocco R manual
Is it a "must do" to change the flywheel?
Re: Clutch for Scirocco R manual
i put a upgraded sachs in my tsi and ran with original dmf with know issues, i think chungster has done the same in terms of dmf
have driven one with sachs and upgraded wmf, was noisier but really nice
clutch pedal is heavier so left leg got a work out in traffic

Re: Clutch for Scirocco GT manual
Hello there
Can anyone help me out.
I'm looking into getting my scirocco remapped and I've been told to upgrade the clutch on it. Now I've found a sachs upgrade clutch without the flywheel does anyone know if the stock duel mass flywhee will be able to take a stage 2.?
The figures what I'll be looking at is about 290bhp and 337lbft
Thanks
Craig

Re: Clutch for Scirocco R manual
You should be fine depends on the state of your clutch at the time, order the sasch clutch and when the workshop fits they will advise if you need to change the flywheel to!
All depends what damage has been done to date. Mines running 350hp and slightly more ft lb on standard flywheel.
