Creaking rear seats
When I turn right around a bend/corner my rear seats make a creaking noise and it's starting to annoy me! Anyone else have this?

Re: Creaking rear seats
Are you sure its the seats and not the boot area?

Well I am going to drive with the seats down to make sure. What do you suggest it could be in the boot? I have already had the boot stoppers replaced.

Re: Creaking rear seats
My Rocco has had noises emanating from the rear from the day I bought it new just on 12 months ago. Giving, what is obviously a well built and stiff chassis the benefit of my doubt, I was convinced something was loose in the boot.
The spare wheel was not particularly well fastened to the floor pan. I took the spare wheel out, placed dusting cloths at four points on the floor for the spare wheel to rest on. Then I tightened the retaining screw/bolt up tightly. Some of the tools also looked loose in the polyfoam container that lies within the spare wheel, so I covered them with another duster. I made sure that none of them could come into contact with another and tightened the retaining strap as fast as I could. Unbelievably the clinking noise continued. The only remaining source of noise,in my opinion, could be the safety belt/buckle holder between the two rear seats so I wrapped them individually in a cloth each and pushed them back, quite snugly now, into the holder. This has solved the rear noise issue on my car. I hope my experiment can be of use to you.

An easy solution for you is to avoid turning right, make three left turns instead. This will save you some heartache and agony.rscut wrote:When I turn right around a bend/corner my rear seats make a creaking noise and it's starting to annoy me! Anyone else have this?
If you would like to investigate, I agree with Essenwood, its most likely the seat belt buckles.

Re: Creaking rear seats
I had this from new (October 2009) and it was resolved in two ways. If I remember rightly, the roof lining was squeaking above the back windows and some foam was inserted. The boot was also a bit loose somehow, and they fixed it by raising up the two rubber stoppers that the boot lid rests on. It was definitely a 'known issue' when I took mine in and they already knew how to fix it.

I've stuffed some dust sheets under the seats from the boot and padded the rear belt holders and it has improved. Still not 100% though and looks poo!

Re: Creaking rear seats
I travel with the rear seat belts clipped home in the central anchor points rather than reeled back onto the seats.rscut wrote: padded the rear belt holders and it has improved. Still not 100% though and looks poo!
