Change of headunit is plug n play.
What do You have and what do You want?
I recommend the RNS 510 in a new-ish version w LED display - OBS must include the four digit hardware code!

Hi turbo32
I have the same engine and g/box and have to say for me the DSG is simply stunning, definitely cuts the mustard!
For normal driving its great, changes gear at the right times and if you want more fun select S mode, but for maximum entertainment you can't better the paddles on the steering wheel!
As for mpg's, on a motorway run from Wing to Hartlepool (220 miles) with a light load cruising at 80mph I get 55 mpg's using Shell fuel save and driving on local roads and in town without being aggressive 48 to 62 mpg's indicated depending on length of journey.
At the end of the day, economy is fine, but hey, its a Scirocco and its born to be driven

85.1 - Best I've seen Mid motorway run.
65-75 - usual motorway run.
50-60 - Faster motorway run.
57 - My overall average.
35-50 - general town driving.
45 - hammering it on longer roads.
35 - hammering it about Town.

I've done lots of short journeys round town today and got 40.5mpg. On a longer motorway run I get 58mpg, but more spirited driving brings that down to 45-50mpg.
Colder weather knocks 10mpg off, in my experience.
