Took it for the first MOT - even better that it was free as part of the service plan I haggled when buying the car, but didn't realise the first MOT was included.

Well adding Chrome exhaust tips and locking VW alloy dust caps to my car seems poor in comparison to the mods that the rest of you are doing! :fall:

Just like AyeAye, had my first MOT. God knows why they changed the brake fluid though. Cost me £39 for it and they fitted some wipers too. Common sense prevailed too when I didn't even get an advisory for the number plates having no bs code thing on them.

Re-flashed when it came back and now the Rocco is back up to it's beast status.

Had a scary moment when the dash told me there was an engine fault and I should take it to a workshop - lost power at the same time - foot to the floor and it was accelerating very slowly - uh uh! Pulled over, turned it off and on again and everything started as normal! - Weird and worrying! It's booked in for it's 60k service this week - so will get them to check it out.

Took delivery

Mrs C's new candy white Scirocco is sat on the driveway as I type with a grand total of 10 miles on the clock :yummy:

She's away with work and isn't home till Thursday night and thinks the car is coming on Friday :vibes:

I've promised myself that I won't drive it before she does :grumpy:

Dropped it off for it's 60k service... and to have an engine management warning that's been flashing up over the last week checked out.

MOT....passed

Plus several fixes before our 3 years is up......
DAB radio reception terrible - apparently fitting a new transponder what ever that is
Passenger window not dropping all the time when you open the door - new window controller fitted
Corrosion on front wipre arm - new one fitted
Wheel center caps pitted - new set fitted
Watermarks on inside of xenon lights - new pair fitted

Last thing I mentioned when we dropped it off was a "squeeling" noise when pulling off first thing in the morning....expecting it to be the common clutch release bearing know problem. But turns out they have ordered a new pressure plate......arr well leave them to it.....

Car has been in for 3 days now.....but at least the Golf 170 TDI they gave us is entertaining.....
