Hi All
Just got hold of a Saris Bone 3 bike rack(£112.00 Amazon)used it for the first time today, but I have made some changes to how its fitted to the car firstly instead of the straps supplied I have used some purchased from Halfords they look like small dumbells which fit inside the hatch,used 2 sets 1 set at the top and 1 set at the sides, the bottom straps have hooks on which are attached to the Eyes inside the lugage compartmant, these straps I had from an old bike rack but they are also available from Halfords.I didn't like the idea of using the original fittings looked like they may scratch the paintwork, please note the clever use of old socks,50 mile round trip no damage to report.

Looks good, like the straps and socks. Does the rack clear the wiper or do you have to remember not to use it?
