Any views on the BMW 123d Coupe

Any thoughts / feedback on the BMW 123d Coupe?

I know it's been around for a while and isn't to everyone's liking (looks wise), but the engine makes for interesting reading:
  • 0-60 mph (7 secs)
    Top Speed (148 mph)
    Max BHP (204)
    Max Torque (400 Nm)
    MPG (55 combined)
They are some pretty awesome stats! And with that much torque it would make overtaking a breeze.

As somebody else has pointed out on here I think VW need to buck-up their ideas and create a petrol rivalling diesel around the 200bhp+ mark. Now that I would be interested in.

I drove the exact car prior to buying the Scirocco. It was used, 1 year old, and the dealer wouldnt reach a deal. Wouldnt reduce the screen price, so I walked away. It was shit hot though mate! Went like stink!

RJM85: How much quicker than the 170 TDI you drive? Mainly interested in the in-gear power (i.e. real world).

I only went on a short test drive, but it was noticeably quicker, especially from a stand still. The main reason I didnt buy was their used cost, and the fast to buy new was out of my price range.
