Morning all,
I've just had a phone call from the Mrs to say she just had an accident whilst driving with a sports drink bottle filled with orange juice.....the upshot is that there is OJ on the headlining. What would people recommend to clean it with, and is there a preferred method?
Thanks

Re: Headlining cleaning
We design & manufacture headliners for JLR / VW and other OEM's. I tend to use Ambersil Ambercleanse whenever we have an issue. You can buy it on the net or at your local RS components. Spray on, allow a few seconds to penetrate then dab off. Try not to rub the stain. This is recommended by the headliner fabric manufacturer that supplies us. Always test in a inconspicuous area and allow to dry. Other than this, a number of upholstery / trim cleaners are available.

Re: Headlining cleaning
For headliners I often use Smartwax SmartCarpet. But dilute the product with water about 1:4. Spray light on the stains, do not rub but massage firmly with your fingers. Use a damp and clean sponge to suck up the product and juice.
Now for the most important of all which many people forget when using interior cleaners. You will need to rinse! Just as you rinse the outside when washing, you also need to do this in the interior. Get some clean water and spray it on the same area. Do not rub, but get a clean cloth and suck up the water by pressing the cloth on the stain. Rinse 2-3 times. If you don't rinse, you will get a new stain from the chemicals used to remove the first one.
