Re: What's Involved
The rear suspension of Scirocco features the back axle from a Passat giving the wider track than a Golf. 4Motion Passat’s exist so you might be better off with the back half of a Passat 4Motion rather than a Golf R for 4WD hardware, at least at the back. I'm sure with a bit of home-grown VAG style ...

Re: What's Involved
Ok, sat bored at work and looking through the small adds when I came across a Golf R that's in the breakers for a front end and roof damage. Now, this set my easily distracted mind a wandering.....just how much work would it be and what's involved in fitting the 4WD running gear into a Scirocco. Bo...

Re: Catch Can
seems to be effective, I guess. After driving ~5 miles with the catch can installed, there was an oil scent in the car, when I stopped at a red with the engine idling. According to BSH, this smell comes from the (liquid) catch can contents, whose smell finds its way out from the induction filter wh...

Re: Retrofit new ABS module for ESP deactivation?
No way of disabling the fake electronic diff on the r unfortunately. Trust me it has been tried by kpm numerous times and deleted but just keeps coming back. The only way to fully d/c it is unplug the abs as this controls it, but you lose your abs. You don't need abs on track though. are you sure? ...

Re: Retrofit new ABS module for ESP deactivation?
i would not say this is the ideal solution, if your purely upgrade your lower mount you end up wearing then up mounts at a great rate, i ran a VWR lower mount and ended up having to run the top mounts as well as the vibration in the car was just unbearable, the VWR mounts are just VT one on the Ed3...

Re: Retrofit new ABS module for ESP deactivation?
@montstable Ive done some research on the wheelhop. How much do you want to spend and how comfortable do you want your car to be? Solution is replacing "lower engine mount". The more you reduce wheelhop , the more noise vibration harshness you get from your car. Inexpensive solution: A pol...

Re: Catch Can
Ι bought the BSH Competition Catch can . Due to the charcoal canister, there is not enough room for the can to fit properly. For the time being, it is temporarily fitted with a tie wrap in front of the charcoal canister. Some other guys in the mkv forums have relocated the charcoal canister on the d...

Re: Which exhaust for R?
Im currently running a milltek turboback non-res with a 100cpsi cat (aka "race" system). Ive been using this without sw update for a couple months , so I cant really judge its performance HP-wise. Regarding the sound, well rocc is quitely well sound-insulated, and doesnt sound like a boy r...

Re: Dog bone mount insert... torque needed ?
Its a really value for money mod.. After installing it (704P , "track insert" ,harder than yellow 704...there are also superpro inserts, which promise a much softer ride.) There is a little more Vibration in the car when reversing, and when on idle...I mean I can feel a couple of engine vibr...
