Scirocco Central

Mine has gone, car: 2.0tsi Oct 2008 with 71k on the clock.

The garage have sourced the part for about £240, roughly 3-4 hours to replace it - I'm looking at £650+

I'd recommend to anyone to have this checked out under warranty as out of warranty its not an easy pill to swallow

Today the exact same thing happened to my passenger side window (crunch/grind/bang) - can't see any wires though, will need to take it to a VW dealer tomorrow, I have a 58 plate too from October 2008.

Yeah according to the manual every 1st and 5th time, will not work when set to 0, however will still work if you only have the sidelights on. Finally got the front two replaced today, went for Continental Sport Contact 3's fully fitted for £330.

My Dunlop SP01's have now done 20K miles, need replacing but no other faults.

I had 8k cash deposit which I stuck into my credit card and paid by that - didn't save any money doing it this way however I did get 8000 bonus points on the credit card :-)
