Re: First Scirocco

Thanks for the advice guys, Managed to get service sorted for £49 for 2 years. Apparently its some new deal they've introduced. They were trying to get me to get that Supaguard rubbish and gap insurance together for £450, So I've a few quotes online for gap which I hope to use for bargaining on that...

First Scirocco

Hi Guys, Just back from a test drive in a 2010 Scirocco 2.0 TSI 210, black heated leather, lugano's and just over 3000 miles on the clock, was blown away by the car, fantastic power and ride, made my Swift Sport seem like a canal boat on the drive home. Going back tomorrow morning to try to drive a ...

Re: 1.4TSI 160 vs Swift Sport

Cheers for that duel link, handy! It's kinda what I'd thought, the Scirocco really has the legs on my Swift at higher speeds... I do get the feeling I'll pine for the 210 constantly if I get a 160 :( But I guess I've gotta stop somewhere up the model lineup... Its a bit of a joke they won't do the 1...

Re: 1.4TSI 160 vs Swift Sport

Cheers for the feedback, That parkers link is handy, I don't do massive mileage, maybe about 12,000PA, so diesel won't have me any better off financially, but the torque would be nice haha. Might just try and settle for a spec'd up 1.4TSi 160 with leather. Theres always a remap to fallback on I gues...

Re: 1.4TSI 160 vs Swift Sport

I got a drive in a 123d Coupe which was pretty impressive, especially the in-gear grunt, the price put me off in the end.

Would I bet right in thinking the 170TDI's in gear acceleration wouldn't be much different to that of the 2.0TSI?

1.4TSI 160 vs Swift Sport

Hello All! I currently drive a Swift Sport, I've been thinking for sometime about changing for a Scirocco, but haven't really had the funds until recently. In an ideal world I'd buy the 2.0TSI but I'm 22, insurance will be rough, my usual commute is 45mins of stop start driving and with petrol price...
