yep, tried to bend and twist .... gave up eventually !

Mine makes the waste gate rattle and hasdone since day one. VW replaced the turbo to try and cure it to no avail.
8000 miles, DSG.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but has anyone found a cure for this issue, is there a fix for the waste gate(if it is the problem) ?

No plans at the moment ... there was talk about changing the back part of the exhaust system, but i don't think that's the issue so we've agreed to wait if VW tech come back with anything over the next month or so to see how to proceed.

Had mine on the ramp trying to find it too! Failed, it only makes a noise under load with some boost on, the exhaust is not the same as the gti and my dealer thinks that's where the noise comes from... I'm thinking the same ... changing the turbo made no difference at all, if it was that then the s...

VW technical replied to the dealer saying they don't know of any issue .... suggest you all start going to the dealer and getting it logged with VW, so maybe they'll put some time into finding a resolution.

Turbo and feed pipe being replaced today ... we'll see if that sorts it out !!

Mine's at the dealer's right now getting it checked out ... they are keeping it today and tomorrow, but they agree that it shouldn't make that noise.

Will keep you posted on the outcome !!

Mine's going in for this issue on Monday and Tuesday next week ... haven't spoken to the mechanic yet to see what the solution recommended from VW is, but I'm assuming it's a big job for 2 days work !!!

NP .... worst bit for me was getting the silver trim off as it was quite tight for the initial release at the top edge. I fed the cable for the fiscon unit down to behind the drivers side footwell, behind the lower cover of the centre console (one bolt removes this). I used foam pads to stick it on ...

Installed the Fiscon unit tonight. No issues, dead simple, everything works as described without any recoding

Telephone button on multi-function steering wheel doesn't work, but this is as described on another post.
