Re: Make my R louder
If you just want it louder from the cabin, then removing parcel shelf and dropping the back seats down give a no cost increase in volume...

Re: My new Scirocco R facelift model
The facelifted Scirocco R gets brushed mirror caps too, (black as per the pre facelift) is an option you can tick.

And some say the Roc isn't practical!
Not sure I'd be brave enough to use my Roc like a pickup tho lol.

Re: Running in a new car?
Pretty sure it's in the handbook, something like 1000miles, 1500km. Believe would be part run in at factory but best not to over rev until completed the specified mileage.
Then you can enjoy the car,

Re: I might need to sell my Roc to pay for a house! help guy
Im in a similar position (moving home) but am holding out to check every alternative to avoid selling the Roc R. Will speak to my financial advisor as sometimes they have the odd nugget of info that can sway the decision for the better. eg increase the mortgage term to reduce the monthly repayment (...

Re: Too Sell or not to sell
Well hard to call, but you certainly have a head start on everyone else in terms of your start price...and I presume you won't get that tax advantage this time around on another new car, and if it's as quick as the Roc R it probably won't be cheaper on fuel and tyres, unless lightweight like a lotus...

Re: Upgrading to an R
I guess the numbers don't sound like they're stacking up, but I got the same trade in for mine after 8 months+6 thousand miles on the clock, as I was offered after 4 weeks+800miles so basically they tried it on at the first dealers... Alot depends on what they have to play with on the car your buyin...

Re: Is my R DSG slow?
I'm not sure about the lag element, as dont know what speed your travellling when you were acclerating etc but it does lag more than the GT I had, but much more torquey. All I would say is that the Roc disguises speed, so you quite often dont realise the speed has picked up as its quite smooth and t...

Re: Upgrading to an R
Were you able to get a good price for your 'Roc when you chopped it in? I'm in a 3000mile 6 month old (ish) Candy GT TSi with a decent spec so I'm hoping I'd get a fair trade in as it's low miles (albeit a bit old now)... I might mail a few dealers this afternoon. it was a around the glass's guide ...

Re: Upgrading to an R
Hi I wanted an R from the start but at the time due to little/no discount at the time (when it launched) I couldn't justify the full RRP in the spec I wanted. After just 8 months of GT ownership I made the swap to an R last October. The car is a different beast and apart from the extra power, the en...

Re: I have never seen an R
It may seem strange but I have never seen an R, they must be very rare. Also, my local Dealers are saying that they are so hard to get hold of, even new ones, they are suggesting buying a GT and getting it remapped, so much for warranty invalidation. Anyone else heard of this? I haven't heard of de...

Re: Selling Up - Maybe ;-)
Cheers for the thoughts guys. Been away for the weekend, so just came back to a list of 'DON'T SELL' comments. Re L-Plate. Can't work out if you're taking the mic, or just a plonker. If i wanted an undervalued return, i'd just give it back to VW. Thanks for the appreciation. But I suggested checkin...

Re: Selling Up - Maybe ;-)
how about trying "we buy any car"...although they will quote a lowish trade in value, it should be higher than 13k...
dont know how they deal with it owing finance tho.

Car looks really awesome.... :) I also had a vx, tho an NA...so know exactly what you mean about the sudden joy of a heater let alone the all the 'toys' to play with. Dynaudio should be an improvement on the 2 speakers in the VX too! Takes a little while to get used to putting down the power in FWD ...
