New sources of interior rattle?!
Hi, I've spent a bit of time trawling through searched for rattle/vibration etc but can't find anyone mention the two rattles I have on all but the smoothest road surfaces.... 1) The ACC and ESP buttons 2) The drivers grab (/jesus) handle Putting a finger on them stops it and all is quiet, but given...

Re: Creaking suspension on new Scirocco in warm weather
I had mine in today for a knock/tapping sound on the rhs rear - they moved the closed point on the tailgate and there was a TPI to cover the suspension rattle. Not really heard any noises at the front TBH.

1st service and a warranty job
Hi All, I just had the car serviced for the first time today, and noticed that they didnt stamp the long life guarantee section, although long-life oil was used - it that correct? Would hate to loose value on the car in a few years time because of a silly admin mistake. Also, I had a rear rattle rep...

I can confirm then that you have acted correctly!
The scratching you can see as a bit of a dark area (circled): The roughness of the seal you can see here. What do we think that VW will say/do?

Rough/brittle door seal damaging paint
Hey All, I keep forgetting to take a picture while its daylight, will try to remember tomorrow! I noticed the other day that on the drivers door, just below the bottom of the window there is a change in texture to the seal on the door where it meets the b-pillar - the rubber is actually rough and ha...

I know the feeling you are describing, but I cant say I have noticed it in the roc - I felt that beforewhen I was driving a mates Honda a good few years back in comparison with the hydraulic PS that was on my golf.

Re: In love again
Funnily enough, (although I doubt you guys will love me saying this.... ) I have fallen back in love with my corrado, after driving the Scirocco for the last few months. The power comes in a little less quickly, but keeps building after 3k rather than feeling flat and the chuckablity is really great...

Re: Coolant
I am loathed to put water in it with these freezing temperatures. I forgot that I had made that very decision with my rado in the summer. It was frozen solid when i eventually remembered between christmas & new year; i got it into the garage and left it with a heater for 24hrs - I returned to e...

Elements on rear quarter windows
Hi,
I had assumed the bits that look like heater elements on the rear 1/4 windows were to demist; but I noticed no effect the other day with frost.
Are they actually heater elements or are they radio antenna or something? Also why are the not the same on both sides?
Thanks
Andrew

15 min for a wheel bearing is fast!
They must have revised them significantly from some the older VWs, as the outer race on the inside and outside of the disc were pressed in place.

Snow foam lances - where to buy
Hi i had bird poo on the car this morning and i don't have time tonight to faff about with the pressure washer, so i went to a snow foam place and paid £4 and gave explicit instructions to the boy not to touch my car! it worked pretty good actually, and although it was really stressful when i couldn...

There is an option under media in setup that says to include sub folders for mix/scan/repeat - I see no difference in what it does with or without that box ticked - anyone else played with that and observed a change? I use my n97 in mass storage mode, although it is a bit nippy to have to remember m...
