Bolton Rocco owner in a bit of bother with British Transport
Just came across this in the paper, looks like someone wanted to take some "risky" pics of their Rocco and would have probably gotten away without anyone noticing if they hadn't the posted a video on Tik Tok for everybody to notice. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/jan/16/tiktok...

Driver's window re-opening by itself after closing - FIXED
So, One day last week I got to my car after a day at work only to find the driver's window was halfway down. I drove to work with the windows up, and I have to hold the lock button on the fob to activate mirror folding which I definitely did. After a day at work I was pretty knackered and didn't thi...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Do you have links to the LEDs and photos please? I'll post some action pics later but these are the ones. All bayonet bulbs are Osram LEDriving Premium SL series, stop/tail/fog are P21W and the indicator is PY21W. I'm not going to say these are CANBUS friendly because - as we all know here - bulb m...

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Fitted the last set of Osram Premium LEDs to my rear light clusters and coded up with VCP. NO errors, NO resistors, NO hyperflashing. Looks like a modern car again

Be careful what you lubricate your tailgate buffers with!
Hi All, I've just managed to destroy both the spring buffers on my tailgate. I didn't do it deliberately of course but I wanted to lubricate them so they'd be able to do their job of properly popping the hatch when unlocking, especially with winter coming up. My mistake? Trusting the label on a can ...

Re: Summary of Winter Preparation Topics
Winter = salty time. Something that's really easy to overlook if you've never changed a rear bulb is the possibility of the light cluster rubbing through the paintwork near the retaining clip. I discovered this by chance a few days ago when cleaning various bits of tree from the nooks and crannies o...

Re: Anyone lowered on Eibach Pro Springs?
I just got H&R 30-35mm Lowering Springs for both the front and rear. They make a massive difference to the look of the car but it's not too much, it rides really well and doesn't even catch on speed bums/humps. That's exactly how a Scirocco should look straight from the factory. It's funny, we'...

Re: Carbon build up
Thinking my 2.0tsi is struggling with carbon build up, it just doesn't drive smooth. Has plenty of power if i floor it but if I'm just driving normal seems to be a bit rough running, just had new plugs and coils. Has anybody used terraclean? And does it work? they say they can do direct injection c...

Re: Stupid noob question about unlocking the boot
The boot doesn’t pop but unlocks. You have to press the VW badge to actually open it. Cheers but are you actually a Golf driver by any chance? My old Leon was nearly the same, use button to unlock then lift the Seat badge to open the hatch. Thanks Deanrocco and Deagol , I actually managed to work i...

Stupid noob question about unlocking the boot
Hi All, Right, my old Leon just had a two-button keyfob, single-press to unlock the driver's door, double-press to unlock everything - and the other button locks everything in one go. Now I've a keyfob with three buttons. This is where I'm starting to feel stupid because the obvious buttons do what ...
