Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Been a bit quiet on the car front recently because of work but did manage to finally get the engine bay cleaned and looking shiney before installing gas bonnet struts to get rid of the original bonnet stand. The kit was bought off eBay and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and ease of instal...

Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Turns out the ticking noise while idling was chain chatter caused by a faulty tensioner so had this replaced and now sounds perfect again and can get back to concentrating on some more mods. Only cost £140 to replace too. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk 140 only for the tensioner? Yeah I was...

Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Got a ticking noise coming from the engine when idling. Been told it was the cat burning extra fuel it's drawing from a previous remap. Took it to dynotune my local remap specialist and they did a decat for me and also remapped to try and sort it but it's still there. Think it's now a tensioner. Als...

Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
How hard were the trim pieces to wrap and what did you wrap them with? Cheers, nice colour combo btw  The dash trim pieces were quite easy to wrap. Just used a Matt black vinyl from eBay and a heat gun or hair dryer to shrink wrap them. The door handle inserts were sprayed Matt black as they a...

Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Hi jclayton14 This is a very nice scirocco! Especially in rising blue. also certainly with the black rims and the yellow calipers. Did you paint them by hand? Callipers were done by hand using hammerite engine paint. Took advantage of the car being on axel stands while the wheels were powder coated...

Re: Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Now got the dash and door trim parts wrapped in Matt black. Left the centre piece around the headunit as I think it breaks the dash up nicely. Very pleased with the end result [emoji106] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180410/7340ba624e109bd12f7fc991ec1706b2.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2...

Blue Scirocco 2.0 TSi
Thought I'd show the progress on my scirocco so far. Not done much as yet but plenty planned. Done the gloss black badges first of all then had the wheels powder coated in satin black and painted the calipers in yellow. Got some vinyl on order to wrap the trim parts on the dash and getting the wing ...
