After a search I’ve uncovered turbo , wastegate , slow warm up and cylinder 3 as being potential issues on the 1.4 tsi 2011, I’m about to go look at one but am afraid of what I’ll find , anything else I can do as a novice to see faults ? I can take my obd reader and see what that says

Thanks for that it’s covered 121,000 miles had a recon gearbox and new clutch , I’m hoping it’s ok , I’ll give it a good test drive and search the forum for common faults

I’m about to get a 1.4tsi 2010 , I’m getting conflicting reports of the engine being 120bhp or 160bhp according to hpi check , how do you tell ?

ok so its got the dab in the radio, i have bought that up on the screen, sat nav works well with gps receiver, bluetooth finds phone, need mic, my question is the shark fin aerial on the roof, can this be used for dab reception > or do i need one of them god awful stickers on my windscreen... thanks

thanks, happy chappy i am then, unit cost me 200, minus 20 refund as no code, had to buy code as stealer wouldnt give it to me ! got gps recevier, thats all good, just need dab aerial, do have the shark fin on roof, but not sure if thats actually a aerial or just a dummy... i cant see any spare wire...

Are these units all plug and play , I’ve picked up a rns315 from a seat , hoping once I get the code it’s just plug and play ?

purchased 2nd hand rns315 unit with dab , bluetooth and sat nav, happy chap, was told it would come with code or unlocked, it doesnt, and it isnt
i have serial number etc, wondered if theres anyway to get the code to enable me to use it without going to the stealers ?

mines confirmed as a front offside wheel bearing being swapped out tommorow, cant wait to get her back, remap and no rumbling wheel road noise !

Am I right in thinking they have built in gps? Or do you need to add a GPS receiver ?

so did you have to do anyting extra, or was it really as simple as buy the unit and swap over yourself, as long as you have the code.

well ive bitten the bullet and booked it into a garage tomorow for a remap stage 1 and a check on wheel bearings and tyres.... ive looked at the tyres, all pirlli's all good tread, 6mm plus, ill be gutted if i have to remove them... but lets see what tomorrow brings, im sure a smile after the remap,...

I'm after a vw radio that talks to my steering controls , has dab, sat nav and phone Bluetooth , is there one I can just slot in to my 2009 scirocco gt ?
