'snap' my car has been manufactured and is awaiting a shipment. It seems that a batch has been produced as Ladyrocs is also getting delivered soon. What a wait - unbelievable really.

How do you find the manual gearbox.

I have taken the issue up with VW CS and whilst they are pleasant enough to deal with and actually quite sympathetic, they are not really managing to progress matters. They are aware that I am also a fleet buyer and now seriously p*ssed off, despite this they don't seem to be able to help. No VW sho...

Ordered in March, originally told delivery would be in June then July then August, and now got a build week for first week of November, so delivery will be December. Oh and btw mine is a manual. How does the 'R' compare to the GT.

The situation is not good - ordered in March but been advised probably won't get till November (almost an 8 month wait which is ridiculous if this is correct). Not pleased, especially as I had an opportunity of going for a C63 till last week on a v good deal.

Apparently demand accross Europe has totally oustripped supply.

Also been told the factory closes in August which doesn't help matters, but don't know if this is true.

Thnking positively, if VW throws resources I am sure it can get fixed. Hence hoping BW's are brought forward in due course.

After the fiasco with long lead times re the Scirocco GT last year, I thought VW would have got their act together.

Aparrently a Golf estate is on a 7 month lead time - the 1.2 TSi would be perfect for the Mrs

I was advised by VWCS that if you have to wait longer than 20 weeks, then they will supply you with a courtesy car. Not sure if this applies to all cars/orders.

Okay - that's probably why I've been advised delivery should be okay for July as I've ordered a manual.

Sure spec is Met Black, Manual, Leather, Sat Nav, Parking Sensors, Folding mirrors. I know what you mean re the delivery, not holding my breath.
