Have a 2010 2.0 Gt with Stage 1 (Revo)
Just got 39.5 going about 45 miles into the middle of Birmingham and back, wasn't driving particularly frugally but the M6 was switching between 50-60 MPH. AC was off.
Get about 28 driving to work all start stop traffic.

Part number of sill panel moulding (driver side)
Can any one help me find a part number? I was trying to remove the sill panel off my MY10 Scirocco and it shattered. Its the long piece of trim that runs under the door between the lip and the floor. It connects the A pillar to the B pillar. Really struggling to find the part so would be very gratef...

Removed the clutch bleeder delay (All 6MT)
Just followed this guide from a MK7 GTi forum ( http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14745 ) and the clutch feel on my scirocco is so much better! Gear changes feel much nicer now. Had a bit of nightmare bleeding the clutch, but a cheap ezibleed sorted it in the end. Anyone else tried this?

Re: Windscreen/wipers rattle sound
I had this, it turned out to be the soundaktor. Fixed it by putting some velcro tape around the mounting bolt to stop it resonating.

How did I mess up my oil change
Just done my first oil change (not cars first) and the car only needed 4 litres to show full on the dipstick. Everything I have rad suggests it should need about 4.5L. Any ideas whats happened? I left the plug out for 10 mins, and there was only a tiny drip of oil coming out. Filter has been changed...

Re: Preventative maintenance - Chain tensioner and DSG
Haha, believe it or not Midland VW did mine! They were great, and did a nice job remapping my car too.
I agree with skippy though, I think the issue is overstated, after all, you dont get reports on forums of engine that haven't failed!

AC really affecting efficiency
So, my AC is having a big impact on my efficiency. My mainly traffic bound commute to work is about 25MPG with AC (Climate control) enabled and 30MPG without. I know AC has in impact as it take power to run the compressor but is this a bit high? Wondering if its a sign it needs recharged? No idea wh...

Re: Impact of self service
Looking at the price of oil, is Castrol or Mobil one really worth the extra over something like Gulf? Surely synthetic oil of a specific grade is pretty much the same between brands?

Impact of self service
Hi guys, Got a MY10 Scirocco GT 210 running stage 1 revo. I am more than confident to do both the minor and major service item myself, and as well as the cost savings like the idea of knowing what has been used on my car. My question is will this ruin the resale value of my car or are we talking a s...

Re: problem or not?
Mine has 70K on it and a little bit of hesitation. Seriously considering removing the manifold myself, and having a good clean out. Only thing stopping me is the injectors. Worried I will damage them!

All the changes are listed there. You get the benefit of a lot of minor fixes and a switch to MK6 electronics if you go for a late 2009 onward

Re: Scirocco (2011) - RCD 510 - Speaker upgrade advise neede
I'm redoing everything pretty much, but I don't mind because I just want it right. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I truly didn't expect the RCD to be this shit :) I'm not using any VW wiring whatsoever now, all high quality cabling - getting it through the doors is a pain (but worth the effort...
