Re: All wheel buttons and horn not working
okay, some buttons are now working and some are not. The up and down and middle buttons are working, along with the horn. The voice control button now does what the phone button used to do and mute the radio. Left and right buttons are not working along with the phone button and flappy paddles. Does...

All wheel buttons and horn not working
Hi, all my steering wheel buttons, horn and flappy paddles have stopped working. I believe the cause is the clock spring, has anyone done this before? TPS want £211 for a new clock spring, that seems a lot? Someone also told me i can do the cruise control upgrade and that will also solve the issue?

Re: Which Professional Detailer to go with?
Has anyone heard of Ceramic Pro? Cheers :) It's similar stuff and certainly not superior at all. I've used most of them now being a detailer myself. On a new car I'd recommend GTechniq Serum. But you would not get that for £500. Ask for a breakdown of exactly what you are getting for £500. Yes Paul...

Re: Clay bar - orange specks
I'm using Bilt Hambers medium clay with soapy water in a spray bottle, perhaps your right and I should have another once over with the CarPro Iron X to help remove or minimise the contaminants before using the clay bar again. bilt hamber make the best clay bars imo. the medium should do the job jus...

Re: Audio options.
I'm interested in upgrading the sounds too. When I turn up to another half way it gets all loose. Not sure which to do first amp or speakers, I would imagine the speakers are shite stock speakers are actually not that bad at all. Just very under powered. This is due to the stock head unit. Changing...

Cost?Iceash wrote:Why amp the front stock speakers?
I would always upgrade the speakers that I'm amplifying as the capacitor on the tweeter can get overloaded.

Re: Which Professional Detailer to go with?
A mate of mine put me in contact with a mate of his who owns a company that does car detailing. I also spoke with him. He can offer a service that provides a 5 year protection (Gtechniq Coating) to paintwork and all exterior parts, including glass and also interior, including the leather seats for ...

Re: Which Professional Detailer to go with?
If you're after opinions then I can tell you straight up there's NO chance I'd get the car professionally detailed for £1,800, I don't care who's doing it, that's ridiculous... I seriously doubt it would add any value to the car at all, I'd save the money or spend it on performance. I'm sure someon...

Re: Audio options.
Its a bit pointless upgrading to dynoaudio as an aftermarket upgrade. There are lots of other better/cheaper systems and options you could take. One option would be to get a 3 channel amplifier. You can then amplify the existing speakers in the front and with a 3 channel amplifier you can then get a...

Re: What size tyres have you fitted?
Unless im misunderstanding the post but the 235 section of the code is the width of the tyre. Your rim is made to accommodate a tire of with 235mm, if you put a 225mm wide tyre on you will essentially be created a 10mm difference between tyre and rim, which could potentially cause all sorts of issu...

Any idea how much that costs to replace? "by skippy » Sat Aug 02, 2014 9:36 pm To be honest, I have never heard of this issue affecting the Scirocco, there have been some failures on the Golf (as mentioned above), but it is not an issue lose sleep over." VW have produced a 'kit' that is c...

Maintenance Regime
So I'm wondering what would be the best way to maintain my cars protection. I get the: wash, decontaminate, polish, wipe down, seal. Process. But what about when I am not polishing my car and just want to top up the protection? I don't want to clay it if I am not polishing. But likewise I don't want...

Re: Using Leaf Blower to Dry Car
Yeah it works. Also try using the sheeting method if you don't already. take the end off the hose and if you've got a good sealent/wax on there. you will hardly have any water left to dry.
